He also studied in Europe, in Norwich, England, with noted author, Cressida Lindsay, and worked with the ant-fascist movement in Portugal - for which he was briefly imprisoned.
In 1975, Rocky received his B.A. from the University of Redlands' Whitehall independent study program in Journalism.
He was a Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA), 1968-1970; working in poor Appalachian mountain communities in Kentucky and Ohio.
Rocky spends every week-end with his lover, Luis Ricardo, a Mexican national, who doesn't have a passport, at their home in Playas de Rosarito, Baja. Luis Ricardo, 26, works in the maquiladora industry. They have been together for 5 years.
