The election system we have in San Diego favors wealthy individuals and deep-pocketed corporations by limiting the time to one year before an election in which an average citizen can ask for donations to her/his campaign.
In the meantime, if you agree that the neighborhoods must take back city government, that politicians should be honest and fair, and that we need statespersons who will address climate change and the future of our children, you can donate as much of your hard-earned cash as you wish to the San Diego Renters Union, which will be supporting the campaign.
